Seeking His heart - important resources for further study!

My beloved ones,

This has been a desire that has been on my heart for a while - seeking His heart for me and allow Him to romance it. In order to do that, I'm starting studies on Ruth and Song of Salomon, taught by David Platt and Mark Driscoll. From that I want to do some investigation on Kendall &Jones, Joyce Mayer and Beth Moore on relationships. I'll pray that God pours wisdom and discernment upon me and teaches me everything He wants me to share with other girls who are also hungry for more of the Father's heart.
It's my journey on finding satisfaction fully in Him!

I want to be so in love, so satisfied, so lost, so abandoned in God's love for me that whoever God brings along to walk with me towards Him has be lost in Him in order to find my heart!

... You're Creator and I'm what You've made.

Where we are... where He wants us to be.

As we struggle with the place we're in and where God wants us to be... all that can be said is seek His face, spend time in His presence and continually beg for discernment concerning decisions to be made in your life, along with willingness to follow His lead. Shut down all the noise around you so then His voice can be made crystal clear to you. It takes surrendering and making ourselves fully available for Him to move in our lives. In the end, it goes back to the whole thing of 'killing within us what doesn't bring Him glory'. Our ultimate goal is eternity, that's home for us. Whatever we do to please ourselves, to please our own flesh won't last, and will fail somehow, at some point. It's the debate of choosing what is temporary or going for what is eternal - 'So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.' (2 Corinthians 4:18). Full satisfaction is found in Him and surrendering to His ways. It's not always the easiest thing to do, but surely the best.

We're fashioned from the very fabric of God, and in this life, until the day we see Him face to face, because we're still sinners saved by His grace, we will struggle with the duality 'want vs. need'. We have our own desires, the things we want while God looks at us through an eternal perspective, seeing the finished project – Philippians 1:6 'being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.'– and gives us what we need, challenges that will stretch our character, perseverance and faith.

This life is nothing but vapor if not lived in total surrender to Him, shining His glory and light to a broken world in desperate need of Christ and the salvation that only our Lord can bring... we live to expand His Kingdom on this Earth.

In all things, I pray we find balance and the peace that surpasses all understanding... the peace that will come from us fully seeking His face in prayer.

One quote that has been frequently in my mind as I think about decisions is 'God is more glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.' by John Piper. Simple truth put in words. We can wrestle or surrender. We can want what we want for ourselves or what God, our Father, wants for us. It's either seeking His heart or ours.

As we delight ourselves in Him, He grants the desires of our hearts... and the ultimate desire of our hearts is Christ Himself, knowing Him and making Him known.

Our lives were never about us, but to bringing Him glory and to know our Maker.

There's true freedom in surrender!

I just need to take a few minutes to say how amazed at how God moves in our lives and restore relationships in His perfect timing... I'm just amazed!
God, you're so good to us, and we're so far from deserving anything! When we deserve nothing, You give us everything! Thank You so much for Your redeeming love and grace that surrounds us and shines in this world through our words and actions! We're Your vessels of honor... use us for Your glory!
All I can say is... I love YOU, Lord Jesus!
Thank You for romancing my heart and teaching me that my dependence is to be found in You, that You are foundation, life and everything to me, and that in You and in You alone I'm made complete!
When I felt like nothing, without a purpose in this world, You hit me with this:

He's writing my story!

I'm blessed in watching God has been doing with my life... He is writing my story and I've gladly placed the pen in His hands. He's giving me the peace to just sit back and enjoy the ride... and there's comfort and peace when I say it.
These past two years have been interesting to say, at least... processing all the losses - a beloved dog that passed away in my arms after fighting epilepsy so bravely, my fiance, my beloved dad/hero/best friend... right after that being sent to the mission field through coming to America, learning to live in a completely different culture and feel that as home, adjusting to this same culture and relationships here, arriving here as an orphan and being given a family through God that is stronger and closer to me than my own earthly family - all in all I can say that God keeps blowing my mind! I don't focus on the losses, but on what's God is going to do with my story - He's all around my days.
God is moving fast. His timing isn't our timing... there's a sense of urgency in my soul related to the things He's placing in my hands to do. On my own I could never be the leader He is calling me to be... it's through His strength and through Him only that I have taken up the tasks He is graciously placing on my path and will finish them bravely, beautifully for His glory - it's His promise... He'll complete the work He has started in me.
After years of fighting, struggling, trying to get the control of my life, I finally surrender and admit... the Lord has had the control and the hands on my life all the time - simple statement, but not to a former control freak like me.
God wins. I'm His. My life is not my own... and I couldn't be happier in saying that!
The lesson for today and these past few weeks is... there's freedom in surrender!
No more me... more of You and less of me, Lord Jesus.
You have my life in Your precious, sweet hands...You've had it all along, and I just was blind to that. Thank You for giving me clarity and allowing me to see Your work, Your grace displayed through all my steps.
I live for Your glory only, to be a reflection of You on this earth.
My eyes are set on the goal, on the prize of spending eternity in heaven forever worshiping You... for now, I enjoy the ride of knowing You and making You known!
It has been and will continue to be a marvelous adventure with my Life-Giver!

In all things, I just recognize... You're Creator and I'm what You've made.

No more procrastination!

I'm letting go of the spirit of fear. I've been hiding under this spirit of self-pity and it's time to let go.
God has blessed me with gifts so that I could bless other people and praise His Name through every breathe of mine. He has given me a history filled with pain so that people could see His grace, His hope, His rescue, His restoration in it. I'm handing the pen to a God who writes our stories way better than ourselves, for His glory only!
NO MORE FEAR!
